We have started our second round of Team building games as part of our Tinana time this term. Students are continuing to focus on how they interact and work alongside others in cooperative teams. They are also reflecting on their participation and teamwork in class when they have completed a session.
In this cycle the students are working on one of 3 activities: Caterpillar Riot, Guarding a Pin, and Loop-de-Loop.

Passion Projects during Genius hour
Today some of the students in the Pukeko Hub started looking at Passion Projects. We watched this video today to find out what they were about. The students started to think about their interests from which they can then research and produce something to share.

Statistical inquiry cycle investigations
This week we have been carrying out our own investigations. We had to come up with a question about the students in our class and figure out how we would collect the data from everyone. We will be presenting the information in a chart or graph (or both!) of our choice.
Working together
Students have spent the first couple of weeks getting to know their classmates in Room 2. We have collaborated on a number of activities. We will keep posting updates on what we get up to. Looking forward to a great 2017!

Super Swimming
Room 1 started swimming last week. This term the classes in the Pukeko Hub will take turns swimming across the term. All the students are doing a great job in the pool and focusing on developing their technique further.
The rain meant we were unable to get out for out Hub Tinana time but we were still able to do some indoor team building tasks in our classroom. We tried out the Helium stick which proved to be quite tricky.
