Pukeko Hub Collaboration

Our Pukeko Hub has started our cross class collaboration this week during Tinana time and Te Reo.
This year we are using 'Tinana' as the name for our PE and fitness.

Today we had our Tinana teams working on 3 different activities:
Toxic Waste (students had to transport the ball on the ring using the skipping ropes)
Elf express (students had to move across a space using their hoops)
World Cup (students had to lift up a ball using pool noodles and moving)

Our learning focus is around team work and relationships. Students are reflecting on how well they work within their team and identifying how they can improve in the future.

Yesterday during Te Reo we started practising how to throw and catch Poi for a range of Traditional
Maori games we will be playing in the term. It was quite tricky as you have to catch the poi by the Aho (string) instead of the ki (end).
